Middlesex Youth Cup – last few places

The Middlesex Youth Cup (MYC) for 14-17 year olds is being run county-wide for the first time in 2018, and only a limited number of spaces remain available in the knockout competition.

Played midweek in coloured kit, all teams play a minimum of two matches after exams are finished, and the tournament culminates in a Finals Evening at the end of the school holidays. For further information, click on the MYC FAQs

If you have any further queries, or would like some assistance towards a joint entry with another local club, contact Ian Moore on 07745 308669 or at ian.moore@middlesexccc.com. Please complete and return this entry form including payment by no later than Wednesday 28th February.

New Safe Hands dates for Welfare Officers

All affiliated clubs must have a Club Welfare Officer (CWO) who the County Welfare Officer (Sharon Eyers) can liaise with and advise on any concerns.
To be a qualified CWO, volunteers need all of the below (each valid for three years only):

  1. Cricket-specific DBS check
  2. SPC workshop Certificate
  3. Safe Hands Certificate

Retaining Compliance

If a CWO or Deputy CWO’s DBS check (1.) is due to expire within the next three months, please contact your club’s allocated 2018 Clubmark Support Officer as a matter of urgency, and DBS renewal (now online ONLY) will be initiated. To renew a Safeguarding and Protecting Children (SPC) certificate (2.), visit here to search for a forthcoming workshop in your area. Only those with a valid SPC certificate can then apply to attend the Safe Hands workshop (3.).

2018 Safe Hands Course Dates

  • Thursday 1st March, 6.30pm (Ealing CC) – BOOK HERE
A compliant CWO is a mandatory criterion of ECB Clubmark, and non-compliance is an automatic withdrawal from the process. If you require any further information on anything Welfare related, please contact Sharon Eyers at sharon.eyers@middlesexccc.com.or on 07557 956354.
